Eva was born in Chania, Greece in 1978. She studied Law at Aristotle University of Thessalonica, graduating in 2006 and Turkish Language in Institute of Balkan Studies and TOMER University of Ankara in 2002. Self-taught photographer she attended inspiring workshops with Anders Petersen (2003), Antoine D\\\\\\\'Agata (Photoespana 2007) and Carl de Keyzer, David Hurn, Mark Power (Brighton PhotoBiennale 2008). She was awarded the IKY Greek State’s Scholarship for postgraduate studies in Photography in 2008 and undertook a Master in Arts from the University of Brighton. Mythology, memory, fantasy and the unconscious form the basis for her creativity. She received honourably mentions at the 2008 and 2009 PX3 Photography Prize competition in the category of fine art student photography. Her work Traces Within was shortlisted and projected at the 2009 Arles juried festival Voies Off. Since 2001 she has widely exhibited in Europe and USA.
Manolis Papadakis was born in Myrtia, and at the present time lives in Iraklio of Crete, where he teaches Mathematics. He attended the teachers’ training course, SELME and he has also obtained the national language certificate in English language and the national certificate in computing. In 1981 he became a member of the Hellenic Photographic Society of Crete, and in 1987 he was elected into the Administrative Committee of the H.P.S. of Crete as a supervisor, then as a treasurer. Today he holds the position of the vice- Chairman, at the same time having sat on a number of judging committees For many years he has offered his knowledge and experience of the art photography teaching new photographers at the H.P.S, at seminars for secondary school teachers, as well as at other seminars.
My first encounter with photography took place when my father performed some strange static dances with an object in front of his face. Later he would close himself up in a special room under the house for long periods of time, and no one was allowed in. My mother diligently made sure that he was left to his own devices while inside. One day I was given permission to enter the room and allowed to stay, but on the condition that I didn't move or went out. I remember there was a unique chemical perfume and a red light..
Manolis Metzakis was born in Iraklio.In January 1992 he stood, for the first time, as a candidate to the Administrative Committee of the H.P.S. Crete. On being elected he took up the duties of General Supervisor.From January 2000 he is the Chairman of the Hellenic Photographic Society, Crete.From 1990 onwards he has participated in national photographic exhibitions. Manolis Metzakis UPI CR3, E.FIAP/s, PSA CP**, PSA MP** was born in Iraklion, He is a graduate of the University of Crete, with a degree in Mathematics. He teaches mathematics and he is postgraduate in the domain of: Studies in Education.In 1989 he joined the Hellenic Photographic Society of Crete.In January 1992 he stood, for the first time, as a candidate to the Administrative Committee of the H.P.S. of Crete. From January 2000 he is the President of the Hellenic Photographic Society of Crete.
NIKIFORAKIS POLYCHRONIS has been actively involved in Art Photography since 1984. He has been distinguished both in Greece and abroad in various photographic contests. In May 2006 he was awarded the title of Artistic Photographer A.FIAP. of the Federation International de l’ Art Photographique, for his long and continuous participation in international Art Photography contests, where he has gained many distinctions......
Nikos Vasilakis was born in Chania-Greece, in August of 1983. In 2001 he moved to Heraklion-Greece to study in the department of Materials Science and Technology of the University of Crete. He fell short of his parents' expectations for a moderate life, since in 2003 he got involved with photography. In 2004, being an active member of the Photography club of the University of Crete (FOPK), he landed a job in 18-Thirty magazine and 18-30 advertising company. Until 2006 he held the position of Photography Director of the department of fashion, glamour and advertisement. On September 2006 he arrived in Athens to study photography. He is currently studying in Leica Academy.
Fotoskiasi is the photographic team of students of Techical university Crete.Addressing so much in persons that already have dealt with the object of photograph, what in individuals that for first time wish come in contact with this space, organise semjnarjakoy' type educational meetings in weekly base.
Depth of field is the distance between the nearest and furthest parts of a subject that can be imaged with acceptably sharp detail at one focus setting of the lens.When an object is in focus, everything from a certain distance in front of the object to a certain distance behind the object will also be in reasonably sharp focus. This distance from front to back that will be in reasonably sharp focus is called the depth of field.....or just click this site .....
